I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice in St. George, Utah. I have been sitting across from couples for more than 10 years and have a profound respect and awe for the power of these relationships. When your relationship is going well, everything goes so much better. When relationships are distressed, everything seems harder. Over the years, I have refined my counseling specialty to working with couples and relational concerns. My experience is that when couples experience safe connection, children do better, individuals do better, work goes better, and the list goes on. I have a passionate commitment to helping couples experience the power of feeling securely connected to their significant other. In fact, it’s one of the fastest ways to improve family and individual health. As part of my commitment to helping couples, I have completed extensive training in emotionally focused couples therapy (EFT) to improve my ability to help couples create lasting connection. I am constantly refining my ability to help couples get the best outcomes.
I also specialize in helping those couples and individuals affected by the trauma of betrayal and addiction. I am the executive director of LifeSTAR of St. George, Utah (www.lifestarstgeorge.com), a three-phase addiction recovery program for couples and individuals affected by pornography and sexual addiction. Couples who experience the trauma of sexual betrayal need specialized help to navigate those fragile interactions following such a discovery. I am passionate about creating safe conditions and effective treatment strategies for these specialized concerns.
